Is Nicole Kidman seeing green over best friend Naomi Watts’ Oscar nomination?
According to a source that spoke to the Daily News, yes, yes she is.
Naomi is appearing in a CBS Oscar segment, which will help plug her Best Actress nomination for the film, The Impossible, and apparently, producers for the segment wanted Nicole Kidman to participate and speak about her BFF’s performance in the film, but Nicole wanted no part of it; “She declined,” the source explained. “Clearly she’s not inclined to help her friend because she’s jealous she’s not in this year’s Oscar’s spotlight.”
While this “insider” is convinced that Nicole’s green-eyed monster is behind her refusal to speak on Naomi’s behalf, another source says there’s a far less controversial explanation; “She [Nicole] couldn’t do it because of her schedule. It was a last-minute thing. Nicole and Naomi are best friends.” A pretty decent explanation except that, unfortunately, the source didn’t stop there; “Not sure of the length or importance of it now without Nicole agreeing to it,” they went on to say implying that, without Nicole’s participation, no one will care about the segment.
However, the source that originally spoke to the Daily News is sticking to their story; “It was a ‘no’ right off the bat [for Nicole.] She could have made time if it was a priority.”
Maybe she has to wash her hair?
